About us

Within our team are Mr. Juraj Janekovic, Computer Science - AI final year student @UWA working as a computer/data analysis specialist, Mr. Antun Janekovic, Engineering and Commerce student @UWA working on aspects of engineering and economy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivica Janekovic, well known expert in the Ocean Modelling community, globaly and within Australia. Our focus and expertise is on:

Two-way coupled FEM modelling

Unstructured 3D Ocean & Wave nested & interconnected systems with up to 10m resolution.

HPC Regional Systems

Regional scale Ocean and Atmosphere models in real-time using High Performance Supercomputers.

Developing specific models

We are developing nested, high resolution models for any location using a combination of finite difference / finite element techniques.

Tropical Cyclone Modelling

Realistic TC modelling and their effects on the ocean dynamics -- Oil & Gas industry project.

TC Humidity

Realistic TC modelling using nested WRF high resolution model.

TC Winds

Using Atmosphere -- WRF 5km 2-way coupled with ocean & wave (2km) models to simulate correct surface wind drag (and as a consequence Winds).

TC Radar Reflectivity

Using WRF model we can even simulate radar reflectivity -- equivalent to BOM radar images.

TC Ocean Temperature

Using ocean (ROMS) 2-way coupled with atmosphere (WRF) & wave (WW3) models to simulate 3D ocean temperature

TC Sig Wave Height

Using WW3 2-way coupled wave model with atmosphere (WRF) & ocean (ROMS) using correct atmo-ocean boundary layer

2-Way ROMS Nesting

Dynamically 2-way nested 250m ROMS model for Western Australia.

4D-Var Data Assimilation

4D-Var data assimilation using 2km ROMS model for North Shelf of Western Australia.

Data/Model Analysis

Advanced analysis of observations, large model data outputs using parallel - Dask Python env.
